This is a high performance biasing network with a 15 GHz frequency response. It exhibits excellent transient response characteristics for pulses with very short transition times.

Description:
Our Model 5580 is a broadband coaxial bias insertion tee and DC blocking capacitor designed to pass pulses with high-speed transition edges with minimum distortion. The risetime is 28 ps with a -3 dB bandwidth extending from 10 kHz to 15 GHz. The 5580 is designed to handle DC currents up to 1 Amp. See Notes [1-4] on the Spec Sheet.

Note: To achieve low frequency operation to 10 kHz it is necessary to use the companion PC board (not shown in this photo) on the DC input. The companion board is supplied with the bias tee. Please refer to the spec sheet for an image of this companion PC board.
